Introduction
There are three important changes to the partner directory page:
- Searching, filtering and sorting of partners is now handled by Finsweet Attributes. Which replaces Jetboost.
- The directory page is only displaying partners that comply with selection criteria.
- The layout has changed to a two-column grid. Profile cards now display an avatar icon instead of a large image.
What these changes mean for partners
Searching and filtering
Due to technical restrictions of our no-code and low-code tech stack, partners can only be searched and filtered based on 10 technologies and 10 services. Therefore, in order to show up based on search terms and filters applied, we recommend each partner selects up to 10 technologies and 10 services they offer.
Complying with selection criteria
In order to be displayed on the partner directory page, partners must provide their day rates and guideline budget range.

Why these changes were made
We've been using Jetboost for searching, filtering and sorting partners on the directory page for a few years now. Jetboost works well, but it costs $19 per month for the features we need. Finsweet Attributes (List Filter, List Sort, and List Load) is a FREE solution. Okay, it's a bit more fiddly to set up than Jetboost, but the documentation is pretty sweet and overall it works well.
There are nearly 300 partners on Dovetail. Complying with selection criteria wasn't so strict in the early days, which means some partners were being displaying without day rates or project budget guidelines. Non-profits value this information, and need it to properly compare partners fairly.
Finally, the layout change. The previous version of the partner directory showed a stacked row of partners, with a large image for each partner. The new version is a 2-column grid, with a smaller icon shown in each card. The smaller icon reduces load times, allowing all partners to be loaded on one page.
